Ft McNair bloom up close

Buckeye, Ft McNair

Scientific Name: Aesculus x carnea 'Ft McNair'
Technically a HorseChestnut, this tree is a beautiful bloomer. Similar to 'Briotii' this tree has large trusses of Pink bloom with a yellowish throat. Overall, our impression is that this is a better grower than Briotii and it is supposedly more resistant to Leaf Blotch which causes early leaf drop on the Ohio Buckeye.

Growing to about 35' this medium sized tree is a great choice for many yards, providing both bloom and shade with a nice rounded shape.
